What is fabric made up of?
Fabrics are made from yarns, which in turn are made from fibers. The process of making yarn from fibers is called spinning. Nylon and polyester are some examples of synthetic fibers. Wool, silk, cotton, and jute are some examples of natural fibers. Yarn is a long continuous length of interlocked fibres, suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, embroidery, or ropemaking.
