Solution

Answer:

If you have a complaint about theft, criminal activity, or just obnoxious neighbours, you should contact the police. Typically, police officers are in charge of keeping public order and safety, enforcing the law, and preventing, discovering, and investigating illegal activity.

FIR (First Information Report) assists in the criminal justice process. The cops can commence the investigation only after the registration of the FIR. After registration, the content of the FIR can not be altered except by a supreme court or high court decision.

  • The first information report means information recorded by a police officer on duty given either by the aggrieved person or any other person to the commission of an alleged offence.
  • FIR can be filed by any person. He need not necessarily be the victim or the injured or an eye-witness.
  • First Information Report should always be filed promptly and without wasting any time.
