  • Every group has its separate group reagent for testing the radicals of the respective groups.

Example of group reagent:

  • Sodium hydroxide NaOH is used as a group reagent for the zero group.
  • For testing fifth group cations, Ammonium sulfide (NH4)2S is used as a group reagent.
