Solution
Lead poisoning:
Accumulation of lead in the body for a long period of time leads to a condition called lead poisoning.
It may occur in even small doses, causing major health issues.
It is also known as plumbism and saturnism, which is a kind of lead poisoning.
Amongst children, it is caused due to eating or breathing dust from lead-based paint on walls and buildings.
In the form of calcium dihydrogen salt, EDTA helps eliminate lead toxicity from the body.
