Momentum seems to be the proportion of motion of a moving object. It is calculated by multiplying the mass by velocity.

  1. The SI unit of momentum is kgms-1.
  2. Formula: Momentum=mass×velocity
  3. Force in terms of momentum is Force=Rateofchangeinmomentum

Momentum versus velocity when mass is fixed.

P=mv

When m is constant momentum will be directly proportional to velocity.

When v is constant momentum will be directly proportional to mass.
