What is music in sound?

Open in App
Solution

Music in sound:

  1. When something vibrates, it produces sound. The medium (water, air, etc.) around the vibrating body vibrates.
  2. The pitch, or frequency, of the sound is determined by the wavelength and speed of the wave.
  3. The vibrations propagate away from the source at the speed of sound as the source continues to vibrate the medium, forming the sound wave.
  4. Musical sounds are strong regular vibrations.
  5. When you hear a regular vibration, your ear detects the frequency and interprets it as a musical tone's pitch.
