What is spitting of light?

Solution

Definition:

  1. Light splitting seems to be a basic physical process known as light dispersion. Whenever white light passes through some kind of glass prism, it separates itself into the spectrum of colors (in sequence violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, as well as red is VIBGYOR), and even this phenomenon of breaking white light into its constituent colors is known as dispersion.
  2. Whenever white light is transmitted through a prism, it is separated into multiple hues.
  3. Light scattering is affected by the wavelength of light. The wavelength is approximately inversely proportional to the divergence in the course of the light.

Therefore, the proportions of divergence could be considered to be wavelength-dependent.
