Solution

Solution.

The nthterm of an A.P. is given by the expression,

an=a+(n-1)d

Where a is the first term and d is the common difference.

We have to find the first four terms of the A.P. which hasa=-1.25,d=-0.25.

a1=a=-1.25a2=a+d=-1.25+(-0.25)=-1.5a3=a+2d=-1.25+2(-0.25)=-1.75a4=a+3d=-1.25+3(-0.25)=-2

Hence, the first four terms of the given A.P. are -1.25,-1.5,-1.75,-2.
