Solution

The journey of water:

  1. The journey is called the water cycle.
  2. Water is always moving, whether it is in the air, on the surface of the earth, or underneath.
  3. The water cycle describes how water goes from the land and ocean to the atmosphere and back again.
  4. The three processes of the water cycle are evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.
  5. The sunlight hitting the ocean's surface causes liquid water on the surface to evaporate.
  6. It becomes part of the atmosphere.
  7. Evaporation is the term for this process.
  8. When the air cools as it rises, it can condense into more and more droplets, forming clouds.
  9. As the air cools and more droplets develop, they cluster together and create increasingly heavy droplets.
  10. It finally falls to Earth as rain or sleet, hail, or snow if it's very cold. This process is called precipitation.
  11. Runoff is the process of precipitated water running over the earth's surface.
  12. The water cycle comes to a close at this point.
  13. Water vapors return to the ground in the form of rain and snow.
  14. They are collected in various water bodies such as rivers, oceans, and lakes.
