Question

What is the law of conservation of momentum?

Open in App
Solution

From Newton's second law of motion, we know that the net external force acting on a system is equal to the rate of change of its momentum. When no net external force acts on the system, the momentum of the system remains constant. This is the law of conservation of momentum.
