What is the meaning of Lokpal?
The Lokpal Act is an anti-corruption Act of the Indian Parliament in India. It extends to the whole of the country and is applicable to public servants. The bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on December 27, 2011, and in the Rajya Sabha on December 17, 2013. The final assent of the President was received on January 1, 2014, and it came into effect from January 16, 2014.
