Optical axis:
The optical axis of a lens is an imaginary straight line that passes through the geometrical centre of the lens.
It connects the two centres of curvature of the lens's surfaces.
The optical axis of our eye is the line that runs through the cornea as well as the centre of all the eyeball's elements.
