  1. It plays an important part in the body's Immune system through primary lymphoid organs.
  2. They serve as the primary place for white blood cells, such as T-cells and B-cells, to initiate adaptive immune responses.
  3. The antigens identified by these lymphatic cells will be reacted to by the cells directly or through other related cells.
  4. When any antigens are detected these cells produce antibodies, cytokines, and macrophages to destroy the antigen.
