Solution

Ray strikes the spherical mirror obliquely:

  1. A mirror that has the shape of a piece cut out of a spherical surface is called a spherical mirror.
  2. When a ray strikes the spherical mirror (concave or convex) obliquely without touching the pole, it reflects obliquely making the same reflected angle as the incident angle, with the normal drawn from the center of curvature at the point of strike.
