Solution

Answer:

There are around 43 different Meteorological symbols used on a weather map. The Weather symbols are standardised by the World Meteorological Organisation and National Weather Bureaus. The messages received from all the observatories are plotted on the map using weather symbols standardised by the above-given institutions.

For example, the symbol of dust or sandstorm looks like an 8. The symbol used to represent the rain is a small dot. A single apostrophe is used to indicate drizzle. The shallow fog is represented by three parallel lines lying horizontally to each other. The ground fog is also represented by three parallel lines lying horizontally to each other. Small Hail is represented by the triangle symbol. Sunshine is represented by a small circle having a small dot in the middle. V is used to represent the Soft Rime. Hard rime is represented by an inverted A symbol. The symbol which is used to represent the mist are two parallel lines lying horizontal to each other.
