Open in App
Solution

Electrostatic force:

  1. Electrostatic forces are attracting or repulsive forces amongst particles that were already created by respective electric charges.
  2. The electric force between motionless charged substances is generally known as the electrostatic force. This is also known as Columb's force.

Example of electrostatic force:

  1. The power of attraction of the polymer wrap to someone's hand and the subsequent removal of the hand from the wrapper.
  2. By rubbing papers against hair, it attracts a charged scale.

Therefore, an electrostatic force is exerted by an electrostatic charge.
