Why do we need a government?

We need a government for:

• Governments are necessary to maintain law and order. Laws are essential for society to function.
• The government provides safety and security for its people.
• Government is responsible for providing infrastructure like build and maintain roads, run hospitals and schools.
• Government is a unit responsible for working on the behalf of people in a democracy as it is not possible for all to take part in democratic process.
