Why is pi so important?

Open in App
Solution

Explain the importance of pi.

Pi is used in fundamental mathematics to calculate the area and circumference of a circle. The area is calculated by multiplying the radius squared by pi. Pi π is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. The ratio remains constant regardless of how big or tiny the circle is. With out π it will be hard to find out quantities like area and circumference of circles etc.

So, π is very important.
