It is a community of both biotic and non-biotic entities of a particular region, in constant interaction with each other, maintaining the ecological balance.

Desert Ecosystem:

1. They are found all over the world.
2. The days are hot and the nights are quite cold.
3. The defining feature is the amount of precipitation it receives, which is the least compared to any other ecosystem.
4. The ecosystem exists from the Arctic to the tropics.
5. Flora is quite rare but highly adaptive animals and insect species are found here.
6. Not all of them are hot. Some are windy too.
7. A few deserts comprise rocks while some have sand dunes.
