Testing an Electric Circuit:

1. The electric circuit is as follows,
   
2. A current flowing through a straight conductor creates a ring-shaped magnetic field that coils around the conductor.
3. If the current is flowing through the circuit, the magnetic field produces around the wire deflects the needle of the compass. The direction is given by the right-hand thumb rule.
4. When current passes through the circuit, the magnetic influence of the current causes the magnetic compass needle to deviate.
