An Aeroplane flies 400m AB towards north and 300mBC towards south so the net displacement is 100mAC towards north and then flies 1200mCD upward.

Step 2. Finding the displacement, AD

So, using Pythagoras theorem
AD=AC2+CD2=(100m)2+(1200m)2=1450000=1204.159461200m
