Question

Can electric fields pass through metal?

Open in App
Solution

Explanation:

We know that,

Conducting metals have many free electrons which move freely inside the conductor.

Therefore when these conductors are kept in the electric field, the free electrons arrange in such a way that the electric field inside the conductor will be zero.

Hence, the electric field can't pass through the metal.
