Question

Can things move without force?

Open in App
Solution

  1. As per Newton's first law of motion “every body continues to be in a state of rest or of uniform motion unless compelled by some external force to change its initial state”.
  2. For example, consider an object which is moving in a vacuum of space, it has no external force, its velocity remains constant and its net acceleration is zero.
  3. So, it is possible that objects can move without external force.
