Solution
Colloids:
Colloids are made up of two parts: colloidal particles and the medium that disperses them.
The phase of the dispersed substance and the phase in which it is disseminated are two common methods for characterising colloids.
The colloidal particles are disseminated throughout this dispersing media.
Colloids are a mixture in which one of the ingredients is broken down into very small particles and disseminated throughout another.
The fruits in a fruit juice, for example, are colloidal particles, and the water in which they're blended is the dispersion medium in which they're suspended.
Uses of Colloids:
Food:- The milk we drink is a colloid which is a heterogeneous mixture of liquid dispersed phase as liquid and dispersion medium is also liquid.
Ink:- The milk we drink is a colloid which is heterogeneous mixture of liquid dispersed phase as Solid and dispersion medium is liquid.
Cloud:- The milk we drink is a colloid which is heterogeneous mixture of liquid dispersed phase as liquid and dispersion medium as gas.
Alloy:- The milk we drink is a colloid which is a heterogeneous mixture of liquid dispersed phase as Solid and dispersion medium is also Solid.
Medicine:-Colloidal solutions are also used as a therapeutic agent. Some examples are Penicillin and Streptomycin.
