Solution

  1. The magnetic field is the region around a magnetic material or a moving electric charge within which the force of magnetism acts.
  2. A charge in motion can generate a magnetic field.
  3. In physics we use B or H as a symbol of the magnetic field.
  4. The SI unit of the magnetic field is Tesla T.
  5. The magnetic field emits from the north pole and terminates in the south pole.
  6. Typically a magnetic field can be illustrated in two different ways
6.1 Magnetic Field Vector: The magnetic field can be mathematically described as a vector field.
6.2 Magnetic field lines: Magnetic field lines are an alternative way to represent the information contained within a magnetic vector field. Magnetic field lines are imaginary lines.
  7. When a magnetic field is present, these domains align themselves in the direction of the outside magnetic field, making non-magnetized material into a miniature magnet and two magnets with opposing poles are attracted to one another
