Types of fundamental forces

1. Gravitational force-

  1. Gravitational force is the interaction force between two bodies.
  2. It is the weakest force.

2. Electromagnetic force-

  1. It is defined as the force that exists between two oppositely charged particles that attract each other.
  2. It is a strong force than the gravitational force.

3. Strong Nuclear force-

  1. It is the force by which the nucleus holds together strongly.
  2. This force is also known as strong interactions.
  3. This force is responsible for the stability of matter.
  4. Strong Nuclear Force Holds Atoms Together.

4. Weak nuclear force-

  1. The force exhibited by the elementary particles that are responsible for certain process takes place at low probability.
  2. Example- Radioactive decay occurs due to weak nuclear force.

Thus, strong nuclear force holds atoms together.
