  1. Vitamins are organic molecules that are essential to body health.
  2. 13 types of Vitamins are present Vitamin A, B Vitamins, Thiamin – Vitamin B1, Biotin – Vitamin B7, Riboflavin – Vitamin B2, Niacin – Vitamin B3, Pantothenic Acid – Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folate (Folic Acid), Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K.
  3. Vitamins are of two types based on their solubility- Fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins.
  4. Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in muscles, liver cells, and fatty tissue. Examples are vitamin D, K, E, and A
  5. Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water that why they are added to our daily diet fibber. Examples are vitamin B complex and vitamin C.
  6. Vitamins are required for a healthy lifestyle but in a minimum amount because the accessive amount causes toxicity in our bodies.
  7. Usually, water-soluble vitamins do not cause toxicity. Fat-soluble vitamins cause toxicity.
  8. Gastrointestinal discomfort like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, constipation, etc are symptoms of vitamin toxicity.
