Solution

Homeostasis:

  1. Homeostasis is a system that allows the body to maintain a consistent internal environment despite external disturbances.
  2. The ability or inclination of an organism to govern and maintain a consistent or similar internal environment is known as homeostasis.
  3. Such creatures are able to govern and regulate their internal environment, keeping it steady.
  4. Homeostasis is critical for an organism's survival.
  5. It is frequently seen as a reluctance to adapt to changes in the external environment.
  6. Furthermore, homeostasis is a self-regulatory process that maintains life by controlling internal factors.

Example:

  1. An example of homeostasis is maintaining healthy blood pressure.
  2. The heart can sense changes in blood pressure and send signals to the brain, which then sends the appropriate instructions back to the heart.
  3. If the blood pressure is too high, the heart should slow down.
  4. If the blood pressure is too low, the heart rate should accelerate.
