  3. The systolic pressure is the greatest amount your blood pressure may reach. The second number represents the lowest pressure, which is measured while the heart rests between beats. This is known as diastolic pressure.
  4. Your doctor's reading is then written as two digits. A blood pressure value of less than 120/80mmHg.
