Open in App
Solution

Boron is found in soil as a component of boric acid, silicate, calcium, and magnesium borate. It is available to plants as magnesium and calcium borates, as well as boric acid.

Boron function:

  1. They are also involved in carbohydrate metabolism.
  2. Sugar translocation is aided by the cell membrane. It occurs as a result of the borate ion agents forming complexes with carbohydrates.
