All the living organisms have a few common things which are the following:

  1. They have the ability to reproduce
  2. They have a metabolism, which is a property of all living organisms.
  3. They have cellular organization.
  4. They respond to any external stimulus.

Bacteria:

  1. They are prokaryotic lifeforms.
  2. The cell might be rod-shaped, spherical (coccus), comma-shaped (vibrio), or spiral in shape (spirillum).
  3. They are found in extreme climatic conditions.
  4. They do not have a membrane-bound nucleus.
  5. They are capable of reproduction
  6. Bacteria are thus living entities.
