  1. Blood vessels carry oxygen and nutrition to all parts of the body through blood.
  2. There are three types of blood vessels present in the body.
    1. Arteries: Arteries carry oxygenated blood from the heart to all parts of the body.
    2. Veins: Veins carry deoxygenated blood from all parts of the body to the heart.
    3. Capillaries: Capillaries are the thin membrane vessels through which the exchange of gases takes place between the cells of the body and the blood.

Damage to the blood vessels:

  1. Damage to the blood vessels can be caused by direct injury, penetration wound, or by any kind of trauma.
  2. High blood pressure is also a major cause of the damage to blood pressure.

Recovery of the blood vessels:

  1. Recovery of the blood vessels depends on the extent to which the vessels are damaged.
  2. If there is not any significant injury reconstruction of the blood vessels can be done.
  3. In the severe damage to the vessels, there can be permanent damage.
