Solution

Conservation of flora and fauna:

  1. There are two types of conservation of flora and fauna.
  2. In-situ conservation: In this type of conservation the wildlife and fauna are conserved in their natural habitat. National parks and wildlife sanctuaries are some examples of in-situ conservation.
  3. Ex-situ conservation: In this type of conservation the wildlife and fauna are conserved outside their natural habitat in man-made or artificial habitats. For example botanical gardens, and zoological gardens.
  4. Hence, the botanical garden is an example of in-situ conservation.
