Solution

Mitral valve:

  1. One of the four heart valves that maintain proper blood flow is the mitral valve.
  2. Every valve has leaflets (flaps), which opens and closes once with every heartbeat.
  3. Blood flow via the heart to the body may be diminished if a valve doesn't open or close appropriately.
  4. Mitral valve prolapse click: a mid-systolic click caused by mitral valve prolapse is followed by a consistent, high-pitched murmur most of the time.
  5. The murmur is caused by MR that travels along with the MVP; as a result, the cardiac apex is where it is most audible.
  6. Dynamic auscultation is reacted to by MVP.
