    • Progesterone:
      1. The menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and embryogenesis of humans and other species are all influenced by progesterone, an endogenous steroid and progestogen sex hormone.
    • Estrogen:
      1. Estrogen is the female sex hormone produced in the adrenal glands, ovaries, and fatty tissue, which is mainly responsible for the development of breasts in puberty and the growth of the uterus lining during the menstrual cycle.
      2. Like other sex hormones, a little amount of estrogen is also present in a man’s body, which protects bone health.
    • Testosterone:
      1. The main sex hormone and anabolic steroid in males is testosterone.
      2. In humans, testosterone is essential for the growth of the testes and prostate, as well as for the promotion of secondary sexual traits including increased bone and muscle mass and the development of body hair.
    • Insulin:
      1. The INS gene in humans encodes insulin, a peptide hormone generated by beta cells of the pancreatic islets.
      2. It is regarded as the body's primary anabolic hormone.
    • Cortisol.
      1. Cortisol is a steroid hormone that belongs to the glucocorticoid hormone class.
      2. When consumed as medicine, it is referred to as hydrocortisone.
      3. In the adrenal cortex of the adrenal glands of different mammals, the zona fasciculata is principally responsible for producing it.
    • Growth Hormone.
      1. Growth hormone is a peptide hormone that promotes cell division, regeneration, and growth in both humans and other animals.
      2. Therefore, it is crucial for human development.
    • Adrenaline.
      1. Epinephrine, sometimes referred to as adrenaline, is a hormone and medicine that affects visceral functions.
      2. Normally, a limited number of neurons in the medulla oblongata and the adrenal glands both create adrenaline.

      1. Triiodothyronine and thyroxine are the two hormones known as thyroid hormones that the thyroid gland produces and secretes.
      2. They are tyrosine-based hormones whose main function is to control metabolism.
