Solution

DNA Replication:

  1. In the process of DNA replication, the DNA makes multiple copies of itself.
  2. It is a biological polymerization, that is carried out in the sequential manner of initiation, elongation, and termination.
  3. It is an enzyme-catalyzed reaction.
  4. DNA Polymerase is the main enzyme required to carry out the replication process.
  5. DNA replication occurs at the synthesis phase of the cell cycle.
  6. The cell cycle is regulated at each stage.

If DNA replication does not occur:

  1. The cell cycle will not proceed to the next stage.
  2. Due to which the subsequent division will not happen.
