Solution

Aldosterone:

  1. The adrenal glands produce and secrets the aldosterone hormone.
  2. This hormone is helpful in alerting kidneys in order to keep the potassium and sodium levels in the human body.
  3. The regulation of this hormone is done by the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
  4. Hence, aldosterone is used in regulating the sodium and potassium levels in the blood.
  5. When you have too much aldosterone, it leads to sodium retention and potassium loss.
  6. There is an imbalance due to aldosterone thereby rising the volume in blood and blood pressure levels.
