Solution

Biosafety:

  1. The prevention of harmful effects and incidents in a large scale due to any biological research is called biosafety.
  2. The inclusion of standards and guidelines to be followed in the laboratory.
  3. The main aim of biosafety is to periodically have a check on chemicals, biological agents, and radiation.
  4. Biosafety Levels (BSL) are a series of protections relegated to autoclave-related activities that take place in particular biological labs.

Biosafety Level 4:

  1. A BSL-4 lab consists of work with highly dangerous and exotic microbes.
  2. Infections caused by these types of microbes are frequently fatal, and come without treatment or vaccines.
  3. Two examples of such microbes include Ebola and Marburg viruses.
  4. A BSL-4 laboratory is extremely isolated—often located in a separate building or in an isolated and restricted zone of the building.
