Cell:

1. The structural and functional unit of any living organism is known as a cell.
2. Anything less than a cell does not support life.
3. Organisms are either unicellular ( composed of single-cell ) or multicellular (composed of multiple cells).
4. Cells can be of different shapes and sizes. For example: spherical shape, spindle shape, disc shape etc.
5. Cell has an outermost covering i.e. cell or plasma membrane which is selectively permeable in nature.
6. Cell combines together and form tissue which performs a particular function.
7. Cell performs the function of obtaining nutrition, excreting waste, making its copies etc.
