1) The function of purification of blood is carried out by lungs not by heart. The heart performs the function of transportation to different parts of body, heart sends deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation through pulmonary artery while the pulmonary vein brings oxygenated blood back to the heart.

2) Blood goes twice through the heart, it is known as double circulation.

3) Nephron is the structural and functional unit of the kidney. They act as filters and removes the waste products from blood and forms urine. They are present in large number in the kidney. The useful components are absorbed back into the blood.
