Dear student,
Napoleon Bonaparte rose to power as a military dictator who promised to bring freedom to the French people. The Jacobin Govt. and the emergence of wealthier middle classes gave rise to the ideas of liberty, freedom, equal opportunities, and equal laws. After the fall of the Jacobin club, Nepolean came to the power. A new constitution was introduced with the provision of two legislative councils along with denial of the right to vote for non-propertied classes. A period came when Robespierre used to rule France with his policy which was considered as the reign of terror. Due to the hard policies, many of the supporters did not support him and in this unstable condition and political instability, Nepolean rose in power.
