,. What will be the mole ratio of Cu, Ag, Al collected at the electrodes?
Open in App
Solution
According to Faraday's second law
Weight Deposited=(Electrochemical Equivalent)*Current*Time
Electrochemical Equivalent = Molecular weight/{(n)*96500}
Hence,
1/2 mole of Cu, 1 mole of Ag and 1/3 mole of Al will be deposited
Therefore, 3:6:2 will be the mole ratio.
