h $= 4 m$

Surface area of 10 cylindrical pillars $= 2 π r h \times 10$

$= 2 \times 3.14 {(0.25)}^{2} \times 4 \times 10 = 15.7 m^{2} [r = \frac{50 c m}{2} = 25 c m = 0.25 m]$

Cost of painting $= R s . (15.7 \times 0.50) = R s .7 .85$
