Amount of heat absorbed in melting = lateral heat × mass =80×100 cal
Amount of heat absorbed = mass × specific heat × kmp =8000 cal
=(100.k×x) (specific heat of water =1 cal/g)
=100x cal
Total heat absorbed =(8000+100x) cal
By the condition of the equilibrium,
(8000+100x)=(10000100x)200x=2000x=10
