The correct option is D 60 kg
If the number of elephants in the camp increases, then the quantity of jaggery required will also increase.
This is a case of direct proportion. If 3 more elephants are brought to the camp, then there will be 12 + 3 = 15 elephants in the camp.
Using the formula for direct proportion,
Number of elephantsQuantity of jaggery required = constant
12240 = 15Quantity of jaggery required
Quantity of jaggery required= 24012 × 15 = 300 kg.

Extra jaggery required = 300 - 240
= 60 kg
