Probability P(E)=Total number of desired events n (E)Total number of events n (S)Here two dice are thrown simultaneously.so,Total number of events n(S)=6×6=36Getting a prime number as a sum, we get combination=1,1 2,1 1,2 1,4 1,6 2,3 2,5 3,2 3,4 4,1 4,3 5,2 5,6 6,5 and 6,1Total no. of combinations=15n(E)=15So, Probability of getting a prime number as sum=1536=512
