The correct option is C 40 If the number of students making the lanterns increases, then the time required will decrease.
∴ This is a case of inverse proportion.
Initially, 20 students took 60 minutes to make 40 lanterns. Now, there are 20 + 10 = 30 students.
Using the formula for inverse proportion, No. of students×Time reqd (in mins)=constant ⇒20×60=30×Time reqd (in mins) ∴ Time required (in mins) =20×6030=40
