Step 1. Find out area of square floor
Area of square floor = (side)²
= (30m)²
= 900 m²
Step2. Find out the area of a triangular tile
Area of a triangular tile = $\frac{1}{2} \times$ base × altitude
= $\frac{1}{2} \times$ 3 m × 4 m
= 3m ×2 m
= 6 m²
Step3. Find out number of tiles required by dividing Area of square floor and area of one triangular tile
Number of tiles required = $\frac{A r e a o f s q u a r e f l o o r}{A r e a o f o n e t r i a n g u l a r f i e l d}$
= $\frac{900 m^{2}}{6 m^{2}}$
= 150
Hence 150 tiles are needed to cover the floor.
