Let the two digit number be 10x+ywhere x is 10th place and y is unit place Also given that one of the digits is three times the otherso x=3y or y=3xif we interchange the digits of the number and add the two numbers10x+y+10y+x=8811(x+y)=88x+y=8possible values are (1,7)(2,6),(3,5)(4,4)(5,3)(6,2)(7,1)only 2,6 and (6,2) satisfies the the condition x=3y or y=3xHence possible 2 digit number =26 or 62
