It is π=CRT, where π is the osmotic pressure.

It can also be written as

πV=nRT as C=nV

Here n =Given weightMolar weight=WbMb

Hence, the equation can also be written as

πV=(WbMb)RT

In the question, we are given,

the weight of a polymer Wb, the temperature T and the osmotic pressure P and the volume V.

We need to find Mb.

So, let’s arrange the equation for convenience.

Mb= (Wb R T)π V

Wb=1 gm,π=103 bar,T=300 K,V=300 cm3=0.2 L,R= 0.082

Plugging in these values we find the molar mass of the polymer to be 82g.
